Music while Blogging – Setting your Mood and Tone
Wednesday, February 10th, 2010
I am a big believer that better articles can be written when you’re in a better setting. By setting, I mean the area around you when you are sitting with your computer writing. This could be Starbucks, your home office, a friends couch… plenty of places to blog! One of the biggest factors of setting is music, which I can digg.
Not any type of music will do, though. Each blogger will have his own opinion when it comes to setting the right mood in the room. I prefer to chill on some Smooth Jazz or Acoustic songs. Primarily because they don’t contain lyrics – this allows me to focus on the words going on in my own head to write down, and not the words an artist is singing about.

Wordpress has become the go-to system for bloggers, new and experienced alike. I am running my blog on Wordpress, and so are some of the most popular blogs on the web, not only because of it’s ease of customization but also because of the vast amount of support, plug-ins, and templates available.
As more and more communities join us on the web, one type of website will always remain popular: education. Schools, libraries, colleges, you name it and they all are looking for websites. With all of the availability from upcoming students to design web pages for their schools and universities, this is also something that educational institutions may have upcoming students design or create their websites!
Nothing says design inspiration like taking a week off to go travel Hawaii or live in a big city. However, not everybody has money to be spending to take expensive trips around the world.. so we look at the internet as a backup. There are tons of travel websites out there, and I have scoured the web and found 26 of my personal favorites. These sites demonstrate not only a large amount of creativity, but also posses ease of navigation and a friendly, welcoming feeling. Enjoy the collection, and don’t get too inspired!
We can see them everywhere, and it seems like new companies pop up every day. There’s no denying that the list of Web Hosts out there can go on and on for decades, and I’m sure we all have our favorites and our not-so-favorites. I am here today not to compare the quality of these web hosts, but to show you 29 of the highest-quality designed web hosting companies. These are the companies that stand out to me for their impeccable quality of design skills, and can hopefully provide a great deal of inspiration for anybody thinking of starting their own web hosting company!
I know that I have posted a lot of lists on my blog, so I figured why not post up another one? In this list, I have gone through my old PC magazines and scoured through over 500 IT, technology, internet, and security based websites and come up with 33 of the best designs I could find. I have seen plenty of powerfully compelling web designs in my time, and these definitely take the cake for some of the best I’ve ever seen. If you are looking at creating a website for either yourself or your client and you’re developing in the IT niche, please do consider using this for inspiration in your upcoming projects! And without further pausing for time… the list!
I spent some time going through BoxedArt’s collection of templates, and it was like a goldmine of outstanding and unique designs, and it filled me with inspiration to do something. So I took the 50 templates that gave me the biggest fuzzy feeling inside, and compiled them into one list for you all to enjoy. So here are 50 highly inspiration (or so I think) niche templates, each focusing on their own independent theme.
We all love video games, but how often do we give credit to the amazing website designs that are created for each of these games? Well I have compiled a list of 20 of the most outstanding video game and video game news / blogs websites. I’m sure I’ve missed out on a few, so feel free to post them up in the comments if you find any other gems out there.
