Brand New CMS System Based Entirely in Flash – Meet FlashMoto

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

FlashMoto logo After spending some time on the web today researching a few web design tpics, I ran into a very peculiar concept: a CMS system based entirely in Flash. Is it possible? Oh, it’s very possible, and it’s in active beta as you read this!

FlashMoto is a groundbreaking script based on Adobe’s ever popular Flash. As more and more websites turn to Flash for enhanced UI, visual effects, and heightened creativity, there have not been many frameworks for developers to work with and base their applications around Flash. However, although it may seem like a real hassle, the development team with FlashMoto really did a great job Continue reading…

Website Design Makeover for Popular Design-Styled Drigg Site DesignBump

DesignBump Logo After Digg’s huge success, there were bound to be many copycat sites. The first popular site exploding on the net was Design Float, a great Digg-style site made for graphic and web designers. Soon after Design Float had many failures regarding server capacity and traffic loads, a new site based on Drigg (plugin for Drupal to act as a Digg site) sprung into the market. This site was DesignBump.

I have used DesignBump a few times to gain some traffic to my blog, and I have noticed a very large increase in the number of referring visitors. The site has grown substantially in the past month or two, and it has really started to enter the “mainstream”. However, DesignBump was recently down for a day or two after performing some renovations to their design… and what great renovations they did! Continue reading…

I’ve outlined a few tips below which I think should help all marketers and bloggers interested in getting started in the business.

Wondering About Bookmarking Demon: To Buy or Not to Buy?

Thursday, June 4th, 2009

Bookmarking Demon I have seen many different pieces of software out there, ranging from Craigslist posters to MySpace Friend Adder’s and Automated Diggers, but I have never heard as much hype as I have with Bookmarking Demon. I have not actually tried Bookmarking Demon myself, but I am contemplating purchasing it.

Originally priced at $197, the software is discounted at $50 for a limited time and is being sold at $147. Although still pretty steep for some software, it apparently comes with a lifetime of updates and support, although how long will the software stick around for updates? I have purchased some pieces of software relating to social networking (mostly Twitter and Facebook related), but Bookmarking Demon is supposed to take care of Continue reading…
